At K9 Stars we will use a range of humane techniques proven over many decades to be effective in changing your dogs behaviour, these are based on animal learning science and evidence based practice.
You will often here the term positive reinforcement used in dog training, positive reinforcement training refers to dog training that does not use force, pain, intimidation or coercion. A fundamental belief in positive reinforcement is that pain and physical confrontation is inhumane, unsafe and ineffective.
Instead of using pain or fear to change behaviour, we are going to be motivating your dog by using the things in life that they love, for example, food or toys.
Positive reinforcement is just one of a number of humane techniques which we may choose to use depending on the problem and so we will advise you on the most appropriate technique to use with your dog.
Behaviour Problems
Sometimes our dog's behaviour can become a problem to us, in which case a behaviour consult may be the best option.
